NW Cedar is the traditional flute wood here in the Northwest. This wood ranges in color from medium golden to dark red.  This beautiful wood gives an earthy tone when made into a flute. The Cedar tree is well known for its qualities of spiritual healing and cleansing.

Poplar is a hardwood that ranges in color from white to white with tones of pale greens and browns in the grain.  The qualities of this hardwood create a flute with a bright and clear sound.
